EduQual Diploma in Implant Dentistry
(SCQF Level 11)

The EduQual Diploma in Implant Dentistry (SCQF Level 11) is a part time qualification programme awarded by EduQual, a regulated awarding body in the UK. The qualification is regulated by Qualifications Scotland Accreditation. It has been credit-rated by EduQual for the SCQF (Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework) at SCQF Level 11, which is comparable to a Level 7 qualification on the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF). Holders of this qualification may use the postnominals DipImpDent.  The programme is open to UK and International dentists.

This course offers the choice of 2 pathways:

- Beginners Pathway 

- Experienced Practitioners Pathway

The EduQual Diploma in Implant Dentistry (SCQF Level 11)  utilises a blend of online theory and contact practical classes* to provide part-time education and qualification opportunities with reduced disruption to your practice.  

​

TERM 1 (September - December)​

Module 1:  Patient Assessment, Diagnosis & Treatment Planning (online delivery)

Module 2:  Preclinical Practical Skills Week (5 day contact class in Cambridge)*

Module 3:  Implant Restoration (online delivery)

TERM 2 (January - March)​

Module 4.  Complex Cases & Augmentation  (online delivery)

Module 5:  Digital Implant Dentistry & Guided Surgery (online delivery)

TERM  (April - June)

Module 6:  Treatment Planning (online delivery)**

 

The DipImpDent is a 120 credit qualification, providing learning opportunities using a combination of face-2-face practical skills training using simulation models, online academic theory and online treatment planning of simulated cases.  

​

After being awarded the DipImpDent graduates move to the clinical component of their implantology training pathway by treating at least 6 of their own patients under the supervision of their Local Mentor.  Graduates of the DipImpDent can apply to CADI for accreditation of their post qualification supervised clinical training component, at no additional cost.​

​

* Delegates on the Experienced Practitioner Pathway are exempt from the Preclinical Practical Skills Week (Module 2).

**  Delegates on the Experienced Practitioner Pathway submit 6 Case Reports of their own past cases for the Module 6 assessment
